Gosh, I hope that I have people in my life that I could pour my soul out to and still be friends with….
I xanga because my friends agree with me too much. I want to be a part of a discourse that stretches my ability to state my feelings and opinions, that pushes me to think about my own preconceptions, and that opens my mind to other ways of thinking. I xanga because I know of no better way to find such a diverse cross-section of belief, combined with the strength of conviction that seems to follow when one is gifted the chance to publish one’s thoughts to the world. I xanga because I desire both a soapbox and a discussion. I xanga because the act of writing makes my day-to-day problems less significant, and makes my inner thoughts more important.
So true. Xanga is great for late night/early morning ramblings without worrying about waking someone up.

I xanga because I feel like it’s easier for me to write than to talk on the phone or face-to-face. Because I can show my raw emotions here on Xanga. I feel like I can get my words across easier when I want to say something from deep in my brain and I don’t feel put on the spot, I can have time to think and not trip over my words. The most valuable reason I Xanga however is to keep in touch with people I love that might live 3,000 miles away or people who might live 3 miles away, that way, they can still see their grandson growing up as his parents do. Thanks Xanga!

i xanga because i think some day it will be interesting to come back and read what my thoughts and experiences were way back then, and how they have or will change. plus i still say i would have a tumor from keeping so much inside by now, if it weren’t for xanga!

Xanga is my momentarily freedom from reality
Why?
Because people on xanga are the only ones who actually pay attention to what I have to say. When I talk in person, their thoughts may be elsewhere causing me to feel as though I am talking to myself.

I xanga because it never leaves, and that the friends I made here are absolutely priceless. I feel I belong, and that’s a nice feeling.
I Xanga to keep in touch with my friends that are spread out all over the country and in different countries!
I Xanga because keeping a diary or journaling had to be taking into the 21st century!

i xanga…because i can keep my identity a somewhat secret and tell my mind. let people know what i really think.
I xanga because its fun and its a place where you can just type about some words that cannot be said. Its like a private diary.
