Xanga Powered Sites
While we’ve been tweaking features for ya (Featured Content, Update to Current Time), we also knocked out another Xanga-Powered Site – please check it out!
Like all of our Xanga-Powered Sites, it’s at a different URL… but you don’t have to create a new account or anything. You can comment or sub with your existing Xanga account. That’s a good thing for me personally, cuz I’m not a mom (although ya never know).
Anyway back to Momaroo – we have a bunch of awesome Mom’s blogging for us (pseudo-anonymously, so they can share the good stuff): Mrs. Koala, Mrs. Lion, Mrs. Platypus, and Mrs. Turtle. I’ve learned a ton about Assisted Childbirth at the hospital (wow!!) and Unassisted Childbirth at home (double wow!!!)

We’re still working on a dating/relationships blog… it’s gonna be awesome. I’m married now, but I’ll be blogging my dating tips for ya (tip #1: don’t be a “nice guy” – be a man). Any interest in blogging about your dating/relationship adventures for us? Let us know in the comments below!

Wow! I like the ideas here. Some people really don’t know where to go for tips on dating and such and I think putting stuff like that here would help people too. You guys are doing an excellent job. I do have a question though. So, I think it’d be awesome if you guys could make it on everyone’s home page how they’re feeling. Like a little ticker thing I guess and everyday or how ever often they get on Xanga, they can show people what they’re feeling like and maybe that way people will have a heads up as to not to mess with them. Ya know? Eh, just something I thought of the other day.
Dating and relationships? I’ve been writing about that for years! (And am still confused.)

the dating/rela’shp one sounds like a good idea.
uhm.. not to be picky.. but your hyperlink for Xanga-Powered-Links-FAQ has an extra %20 in it at the end… so when you click on it, you get the “Page not Found” page instead of the FAQ page.

Cool. I know many people who have become mothers recently and soon to be mothers. I’ll recommend the site.

Awesome ideas, I’m really looking forward to reading the dating/relationships blog.
But moving on, I thought it was a temporary bug when I tried this a week ago, but it happened to me again today; I tried to subscribe to Momaroo, but my sign-in information was not accepted. At least the password wasn’t. Same thing happened a week ago when I tried to comment on a Revelife blog.
I made sure I wasn’t mistyping my username and password [which is impossible since I type it a million times a day anyway], but to no avail. Any way this problem could be fixed?
i’m a new mom and just wanted to say that i love the site!! it definitely beats some other “mom sites” out there…

@AdiOpERsOcoM - @black_lie - Hey guys… great feedback, thanks. For now, you can sign into your Xanga account on Xanga – then when you go to the other sites, you’re automatically signed into your Xanga. We haven’t set it up yet so that you can sign into Xanga while on other sites; when you are visiting Momaroo for example, the signin is for Momaroo accounts.
We’ll continue to monitor feedback on this issue, and think about ways we might make it less confusing. Thanks for the feedback!
I’ve noticed that a lot of “mommy blogging” sites and other parenting sites overlook parenting during the teenage years so, you know, if you need an experienced blogger in that area … I am available.
I just thought I would post this at the current entry you guys have but you guys need to put a report button on private messages. I have been getting quite a few spam messages lately and there is no way to report them.

PLEASE consider making a website like Momaroo/Revelife, except designed for people who play Videogames.
I wanted to ask what the heck is up with the box popping up all the time, asking if I want to sub to someone when I leave a comment. I don’t want to sub to every site I visit and leave a comment on. I visit sites that are involved with posting challenges (featured grownups, and photo challenge, for example) and every time I leave a comment on those sites now, the darn box pops up. If I want to sub, I will, but I find being asked constantly very annoying.
@WakeUpLaughing - There should be a link on that page that points you to your Subscription Settings page? You can turn it off there…

I met my girlfriend of over a year and a half on Xanga. Moved to her state and everything.
Hey Xanga Team – if you want me, I’ll blog my dating/relationship adventures and musings for you if you like. I can write from the perspective of the chick who lost a great relationship and is now back on the market, fighting her own bitterness of course.
Of course, there may be a lot of blogs involving me sitting at home watching TV with the ‘rents. 
But if you want my input, it’s there. I feel like I’ve done several relationship oriented posts as it is! :-p 
These xanga-powered sites are plenty interesting, but they’re taking over the featured content on the front page. I’m getting tired of seeing revelife there – it’s had, what, 3 featured posts in the past week?
They might have some nice posts, but please, don’t forget the normal blogs. I miss seeing more normal blogs featured.
I am looking forward to see the dating/relationship site go live.

Please take away the hatefull add that advertises your new blog …the thing keeps blinking on and off…it is really irritating on the eye and something I am not interested in….keep my private page private from adds please…that is why I went premium. I do not mind a add that is a still picture…but not one that keeps flashing around.

I pay for premium on xanga in order NOT to have adverts forced upon me. Please let me know how to remove the ads for momaroo and revelife and how to prevent them or other rubbish from showing in future.

What is “REVELIFE”…is it part of Xanga? I clicked on my newest subscriber and it took me to http://www.revelife.com/revelife , set up exactly like xanga and wanting me to join. I’d just like to know if this site is legit??

I would love to be able to just move my blog over to momaroo since the last year of my child’s life is on there.. in fact I think the inability to do so will prevent a lot of already blogging moms from switching.

Anybody else think it’s funny that the parenting site comes before the dating site?
I think it would be really interesting to blog for the dating/relationship site. I’m in one now, but one never really knows how long things last. It sounds like this site will be sex and the city-esque, people talking about their experiences in relationships and dating; it sounds like fun!

Wow, this is such a great development. I really like the idea of more focused, xanga-powered blogs.
Personally, I’d really like to see xanga-powered blogs centered around:
1. Personal Finance (budgeting, how to negotiate a raise, saving and spending choices, etc),
2. Food (dining out & cooking, eating healthy, nutrition), and
3. Personal well-being (overcoming depression or anger, finding happiness, work/ life balance)
Looking forward to seeing those in the future!
