We're adding images to your Subs page! Basically soon you'll be able to see images right from the Subs page. I've been using it for a month or so, and I love it! Props to Chris, Marc and Adam for working on it...
When
we asked for feedback earlier, some of you expressed concern that you might get fewer pageviews if people didn't have to click over to see your images. We actually don't think that's the case, but just in case - we're creating a temporary feature that lets you hide your images from other peoples' Subs pages [
link].
Edit: This will also allow you to protect family pictures from being downloaded (as with no-right-click codes).Other feedback we got: people wanted usernames back near the top of entries (DONE!) and others wanted the subs area to be wider and yet fluid (ALSO DONE!). We made a number of other bug fixes too.
Can you check out the page before we go live with it throughout the site? Let us know what you think!

I like that you can see the photos in the posts and the blogger's icon, but the posts run together and are difficult to discern from one another. It was difficult for me to tell whose blog post I was reading and I had to keep scrolling back. Given the latter observation, I prefer the classic look.
i opened it in a new tab and clicked back and forth between the two subs pages for awhile. i do prefer the new subs page. wider is, evidently, better. good job. thanks, guys.
You know, that just works really well. I like seeing the images again and seeing who posting. Great job!

i would like to change my xanga name (url). do you think you will ever make that feature available?
That's great. It will make the readings much more colorful if not illustrated.
I would like to know how to switch back and forth between the new page and the old one. I had the new page for a while, but I was having some trouble adjusting to it, and also viewing my tracker, so I clicked on a handy button (nice feature!) to switch back to the old page, but I see no such handy button to go from the old look back to the new one. It would be more comfortable to me to be able to go back and forth until I got used to used to it. Thank you.

I have one suggestion:
The ads are fine. We know us non-premium members have to deal with them and y'all have to put them up but... The ads come in really random spots on our pages and it completely messes with the look and feel. I'm suggesting that there be a module that the ad is in that we can't remove, but we can move it around the page to fit it to our look and feel so that it isn't really intrusive...
Also, maybe compile a list of frequent suggestions by us Xanga users, whether it be to add or remove features, etc. that we can vote on? I think it'd be a great way to see how the community thinks...

I think it's great...this means that some of the stuff I don't mind having to be seen on subscriptions will be seen. So long as there's the "option" to get people over to my site (without seeing added pics, etc...) that would be a great plus.

ps..fogot to mention..is there a 'no right click' on those pages? I post pics of other xangans at times..now there is one so so ill..and in my photo blog I keep those and others 'private'...just wondered**?
Personally I prefer bigger tabs for the weblogs, protected, photos, etc. but I'm sure I will adjust. It's nice and clean, it looks great.
