Publish Your Blogs to Facebook!
We've gotten a lot of requests from Xangans to find ways to help drive traffic to your Xanga sites! So we used the Facebook API to provide an easy way for you to update your Facebook News Feed when you post a blog.
There's a checkbox in your editor now that lets you update your news feed:
At the same time, we know a lot of you like to keep your Xanga separate from RL, so there's a complete and utter opt-out here:- http://edit.xanga.com/editeditorsetting.aspx

awesome! :)
I don't have a facebook and I don't want one, I'm am perfectly happy with my Xanga account!
ahaha it's my second time being first! lol
Cool!
ah! that's cool!
cool
That's cool, but I don't think I'm gonna use it.
neat
Its great but this blog is sorta private and i really don't want everyone seeing it.
Oh, dear. I'm personally never going to use this, but props to you guys for implementing it so that people who want to can.
doesn't work with a future post....it posts it right away on there. I just tried it with a post that I have set to post on monday. Is there a way to make it work with future posts?
facebook is now RL?????? oh boy oh boy. =(
@Kristenmomof3 - ah thanks for that report... this feature actually doesn't support future posts well - we'll disable it on future posts for now and look into ways we might be able to support future posts in the - uh - future heh
@black_lie - haha, perhaps not the best use of "RL"... just trying to convey that some people think of their Xanga audience pretty differently than their FB audience
I don't think I'll use this feature, but that is awesome!
awesome:)
Awesome!
I'm pretty upset. When I posted a blog here, it automatically went to my Facebook without my permission. I keep them separate and this has me considering cancelling my Xanga account. We shouldn't have to "opt out," but instead should have the option of "opting in."
Now I have to triple check my Facebook to make sure it didn't show up there. Thanks for nothing.
I don't have a facebook and I do not want the option to automatically post to Facebook. I am not going to have an Xanga either if you keep making these silly changes.I do not want anything to go to Facebook how do you opt out. Judi
very nice. i like that it's selectable directly from my post-editor and will probably use it.
oh, and i got my beloved subs list back on my classic private homepage.
thanks, all. :)

@jassmine - it's settable on a post-by-post basis, and appears to default to the "do not post" state. so you should be ok. :)
The opt out is greatly appreciated. I like to be mostly anonymous here.
I somehow missed that it could be set on off. Thanks for giving us that option. I set mine on off. Thanks Complicated Light. Judi
I can't believe we have to opt out! Feel free to help yourself to my Facebook without my permission! I'm appalled.
I'm so glad there is an out to this option.
