Javascript Support for Xanga Themes! (Premium Beta)
If you’re using Xanga Themes, you can now add javascript to your custom modules!
A few notes:- This feature is still in “premium beta” – it’s available only to *premium* users for now – but we definitely plan to enable javascript for all users soon!
- If you want to copy/paste your old scripts, you can find them on your old “Look & Feel” page here
- Some of your old scripts might need updating – the html for themed and unthemed sites is totally different, so any script that acted on a specific piece of html on your unthemed site might not work on your new themed site – we are working to update some of the more popular scripts so they work with the new themed sites, and we’ll post about them when they’re ready*
- Get friendly with “safe mode” -malformed codes and scripts can really whack out your site. If you’re working on a script and your site goes kablooey, just click the little”safe mode” link in your top toolbar… it’ll disable all the scriptsand codes on your site so you can click to edit or delete them.

Sitemeter “regular” HTML code works for Themes. there’s a different code provided by Sitemeter, “JavaScript” HTML code, which does not work. which one is it supposed to be that’s allowed?
ok…maybe i’m clueless, but where do we post these codes? is there a special place or module that we need to use?
Modules seems like a great idea.. I haven’t converted.
I feel like this old person who is surrounded by lots of technology and cannot cope. Haha

Ok, so if some of my old scripts need updating… how do I know which ones, which tags the new format doesn’t like? Is there a big list of tags that are ok to use?

For some reason people with xanga themes are not showing up in my blogring……Help!
Instead of Themes, minis, widgets, why not put up some banner rotators so we can advertise on our site. Why not some business tools. Lots of people have business who have Xanga blogs. Judi
I’ve only been using the new front page for a day or so, but I kinda like it. I would like to have the option of changing the basic colours on it at the very least. Also if the universal inbox (I think that’s what it’s called) showed bolded messages before they were read and unbolded them after it would be even better.
I love the new weblog archieve calendar by the way!

so I basically can’t log into my own site, edit or read any subscriptions. Is there a way to report this? It’s definitely not my computer either.

why can’t i set the dates the weblog entries into a seperate font, size and color?! why do they have to be linked to the text style of the weblog text??

On the new home page thingy…. the one thing I really loved about DASH was that if one of my subscriptions posted a new entry the word “subs” was bold and I could click on that and it would take me to the most recent post. I miss that on this new page. Other than that I’m loving it! I really like how I can see all the comments and stuff right on my main page!

I agree with Mirandasuzanne – Having new comments or subscriptions turn bold was a very useful feature of the Dashboard. I love all of the new information on the new homepage, but sometimes I miss comments. I would greatly profit from the return of the bold/color change on new comments & subscriptions.
hey. i was wondering if there is any way that you could re-open a xanga that has been deleted. someone deleted my xanga a while ago without my permission and it had a lot of posts that i would have like to have kept handy.
when i put my mouse over old comments i’ve left, it’ll still show my old xanga site that will no longer open..so it looks like it’s still somewhere out there.

i love being able to make xanga unique with your own layout you wanna put on there!
you should at least be able to take the theme off for people who don’t want it. i really want to be able to make my own layouts and stuff!
