By Request: Slashed Mini Prices!
Here at Xanga, we’re holding Black Friday a week early! You asked and we listened:
“The mini’s are great – but really – they should be cheaper.”

We want to make sure that everyone who wants to give Minis *can*, so we’ve cut prices 25-75% on almost every Mini to make them more affordable for everyone.And just think . . . you won’t even have to wait outside a store at 5 a.m. to get these deals.
(now would be an optimal time to use the “Eruption of Awesome” one)

Wow, that’s really stupid… you have to PAY for a large, obtrusive icon to be displayed next to your comment? And you expect to actually make money off of this?

minis are useless aren’t they? i’d rather have a bug-free xanga experience with the resources that minis are taking.
Guys, if I remember right, Xanga paid for these little things to be done. What I have been trying to understand is why with all the talent you have here in Xanga you didn’t capitalize on some of that talent as you did for the help you asked for in translating Xanga to other languages. Many of us would have loved to have used our photos and for some art expertise to have made these little guys if you really think they give Xanga a little kick. A contest for them might have been fun or just ask for submissions of work in the size you are using as it’s just fun to see your work used by other xangans who might select them to use.
Two things I’d like in comments, if I have your attention:
1- a spell check and
2- a script similar to “add a link” opening a window that would allow you to browse to little gift pics stored in your personal picture files.
The mini’s are cute but again, a lot of them could possibly have come to you for free.
Hoping not to offend anyone as I think Xanga is great and always trying to come up with new and pleasing ideas. Some of the goodies you might run by the Xanga population before spending money on them. Lots of helpful people here in Xanga.

I have been using minis to comment. I like a lot of them. I wish that there would be more useful ones,I will NEVER use the ‘lick me’ type mini ,unless ,God forbid,it is a mistake.

By the way, are the prices good after the holidays??? It does take an awful long time to get enough to send one. You get 2 credits for every comment (I personally think you should get some for posting. To my knowledge, my credit counter doesn’t go up when I post. =[) Maybe adding a credit counter on basic Xangas too. (Like the one on the top for premiums.) So it takes 250 comments to get 500 credits (if you don't buy anyone a mini) and some of the minis are that expensive. It even takes 100 comments to get 200 credits, which is a common mini price. I say either give us credits for posting, or reduce the minis permanently.

LittleEgypt has a nice idea, but I think the second one is better. Artists in the Xanga community entering contests to submit their work to be displayed as a Xanga mini? Awesome idea.
I’ve actually been meaning to suggest something I’m sure others beside me have thought of. A search engine embedded on our private home pages for us to search our own blog entries would be infinitely convenient–at least for those of us who like to go back to older entries.
Needless to say, I’m one of those people. There are times when I think, “I remember writing on such-and-such and so-and-so!…” so I start clicking different calendar dates until I finally find the right entry…
Hopefully you guys’ll consider this feature. It would rock so hard. Thanks for reading. :]

Also… Perhaps you could let Xanga members submit mini designs… just give the parameters and tell them how to submit them, and I bet you would get some really nice minis for nothing.
That’s freak’n awesome that you guys lowered the prices. Even though some of us are lifers, it don’t mean we got the doe to blow ya know? hehe… I’m save’n up for someone special to get my mini.
