Welcome to Xanga 2.0!
Welcome to the official launch of Xanga 2.0!
Here's how to get started:
1. SIGNIN
You can sign into your Xanga account right here:
* http://xanga.com/wp-login.php
You can use the same username and password that you're used to, and it should work!
2. CHECK OUT YOUR BLOG
If you are premium or participated in our Xanga 2.0 campaign, your blog should be in the same location! For example, my blog is here:
http://john.xanga.comIf your blog appears, you should be able to go to your dashboard and start blogging!
Your blog should even look similar to your old theme. (If it looks a bit off, let us know here and we'll take a look!)
http://help.xanga.com/forum/themesIf your blog doesn't appear (and you are either premium or contributed to our campaign), please let us know in our help forum and we will look into it!
http://help.xanga.com/forum/data-migration3. CHECK OUT YOUR READING PAGE (TO READ POSTS)
Either way, you should be able to check out your Reading page under your dashboard!
It's a great way to find updates from your subs and friends! Speaking of which, we made some name changes related to subs and friends, to help make it a bit simpler and more intuitive... you can read about the name tweaks here!
ps Thanks for your patience everyone... we will find a way to make it up to you!!
pps We are now officially in phase 2 (of four) of the Xanga 2.0 launch!
Phase 1: Data Migration
Phase 2: Site Tuning <---
Phase 3: Feature Prioritization
Phase 4: Building TogetherThe next month or two of work on Xanga 2.0 is going to be busy, so we wanted to share with everyone a roadmap of how we’re thinking about things... if you're interested, you can read more details about the 4 phases here

Hello, I was trying to login and I forgot my password and it sent a message to my email but I forgot which e-mail address I used when I originally signed up in I think either 2004 or 2005. I remember my username was xxxbleedingxxxheartxxx or xxxbleeedingxxxheartsxxx I can't remember if the heart was plural or singular. I don't if you'll be able to help me but I thought it'd be worth a shot. I appeciate any help you can give. Thank you
Im am old xanga user, But i realy want to be a premium user, how can I make it?
I have a normal account, and I can't access my blog or anything. Does that mean its lost?!
I've been trying to upgrade my blog site but it seems the link that is posted is not working. i've been looking every where for the upgrade link. can you post it please? bc it seems like some people already upgraded their blog sites. thanks!
thx
I'm confused. As I understand it, as a holder of a "basic account", I can download my archives. Then I can create a WordPress.com site and migrate my stuff there. BUT, I will no longer be a member of the Xanga community. That is I won't have a jip.xanga.com site, but rather a jip.wordpress.com site. Is that right? You've migrated my followers, but once I move to WP.com, they'll no longer know I exist. What am I missing here?
I haven;t been on here in a couple years and I will not pay to become a premium member so does that mean all of my old blogs are lost?!?!? It was 4-5 years worth of stuff? I'm unable to download or get any of that back?
Hi there,
Your blog posts for http://love-easier-said-than-done.xanga.com/ are saved and available for a free download!
You can download them by signing in here: http://xanga.com/wp-login.php
When you have a copy of your blog posts on your own computer, you can do one of two things:
1. Upload your archives to another site that's compatible with your blog archives.
WordPress.com is one such free site... more information on how to import your archives into WP here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-xanga/
2. Upgrade your account to Xanga 2.0, and continue blogging on Xanga.
You can use PayPal (can also pay via credit card through this page) to purchase a one-year membership for Xanga 2.0: http://bit.ly/1dcERuj
If you choose this option please forward your Paypal confirmation email along with your username to help@xanga.net, we will get your site upgraded ASAP.
Thanks,
Eugenia at xanga.com
I have tried in vain to access my old blog. No, I was not premium nor a contributor; my account was a free one. Still, I should be allowed to access MY blog, my entries ... MY words, without having to pay.
I clicked the link to download the archives/zip files and there were just two in the zip - two from hundreds. Two from last year.
Can you please release my property to me?
Thank you.

I'm a once in a while blogger. So I come back and now I don't have a clue what's happening. As I undierstand everything is updating. And if you were involved or a paying member, you site is safe. What about everyone else? I understand, if you meet the requirements, you can download your blogs to import elsewhere or here again. Now when I get to my page there is a place I can manage my account. I can choose basic account or shutdown. When I choose basic it gives a warning message that it will delete all my blogs, that I can still browse and comment but I won't be able to access my site. So all of this is to say how in the heck do I get back to blogging?
