Update on Mobile App and Xanga Chatbar
Hey guys - a quick update on a few things:
1. Mobile App
We just wrapped up testing, and are submitting our mobile app to Apple as we speak! Going to get Android out the door next.
2. Xanga Chat
We upgraded our server software over the weekend, and ran into an issue with the chatbar so we had to turn it off. We'll look into fixing the chatbar as soon as the mobile app is out the door!

Will it work for blackberry?
I had to go back to Explorer 8 because while I had Explorer 9, I could not edit my Xanga posts ~ you guys have that fixed yet?
so is there a time frame for the mobile app for android?
will the app work on ipod touch too?
Is the android app finished? If it is, you should just post the apk for people to download while you wait to get it in the market. Suck for you apple fans. It's gonna take a while to get that app reviewed.
I was wondering where the bar had gone, hope it's back soonish

I am looking forward to the Android app so I can use access Xanga with my Kindle Fire. I do access Xanga through the web browser on the Fire, I have had some issues with not being able to comment that way. Thanks for working hard for us!
@skanickadee - You should be able to comment using Xanga fire. I haven't had any issues with it. To reply to someone specifically, I have to click the reply box, then hit reply by that person's name.
@raspberryjade - I'm wondering the same thing. Hopefully it will!

I'd be excited about this, but I'm not getting an I-Phone until they release the I-Phone 18. I know I'll have to be patient, but it's only a week, right?

this is great. i am looking forward to it. i feel i use xanga more than any other pages nowadays. xanga is more fun. and there's just certain things you can't say on facebook...so glad i am able to express them all here. thank you!

@fwren - I ended up having to use Firefox because my IE 9 wouldn't let me update my blog. It was driving me crazy. I hope they can get it fixed. (Chrome wouldn't work either.)

Please Xanga, I love you guys. Can you *Spruce* the site up a bit? Tumblr is becoming annoying. The thing that makes Xanga so awesome is your Groups (Blogrings) which makes it easy to connect with people. Xanga's Homepage is SO DATED. You guys can be a TOP blogging site again. * I believe in you! * Just have a good selection of professionally made layouts (Xanga Themes) for people to use and give yourself a dang makeover!
BTW, Can't wait for the iPhone App! I'm soooo coming back to Xanga!

Im still waiting on an auto save feature. Its happened more than once that I swipe back on my mouse and it takes me to the previous page and which point I lose my entire entry. Not fun.
