Xanga's iPhone App now live in iTunes App Store!
Exciting news... Xanga's iPhone App is now available for free download from the iTunes App Store!
Just go to the Apps Store icon on your iPhone and search for Xanga, and you can download it for free there.
This iPhone app will let you easily:
* Check out your own subs, recs and feedback with a swipe of your finger.
* Post blogs, photos and pulses easily from your phone (and edit them too!)
* Easily Comment or Rec other people's posts.
* Check out someone's Xanga site and see all their posts all in one place.Thanks so much to everyone for your help along the way — both for the feedback here on thexangateam blog, and also for the dozen+ people on the Xanga Product Council who hopped onto Skype to go over mockups and demos of the mobile software! We hope you're as happy with the results as we are.
ATTN: Android users: we're hoping to get our Android App up on the various Android App Stores (including the Kindle Fire) by the end of the week, if not sooner. Stay tuned!
For those of you with iPhones: do you guys mind giving the app a quick test drive, and sharing any feedback in the comments? That way, we can quickly fix any issues!

It's working really well so far. Diggin' the ability to upload photos directly from my iPhone onto Xanga. I'll message one of TheXangaTeam members if I have more feedback to give.

I have enabled footprints on my xanga... I was test driving the app on my ipod and I have a friend who responded to me but I can't respond back... It says "You must enable footprints..." but I do have them ... is there anywhere around not having to log into my comp to respond?
so far its great! but i tried posting a picture in the webpost and when I try viewing it on my netbook, sometimes it wouldn't show up! but so far so good!

Works for iPad, for me right now that is. I cannot however write an entry with a picture that I already have on the site. May be something to look into there.

Also perhaps a refresh button would be nice so I can see if there are new posts from subscribtions. Because now I'm not sure if it's already refreshed or not whenever I go on the subs page.

I can't login. It says 'Website login is required for this account. Please try again after logging in on the website.' ... okay, I've logged into your website for a few years now... what should I do?? HELP!!!! Really want to use this.
Logged in using safari on phone, thought that might help correct error message displayed but nope.
So far so good, it is easy to navigate. I was wondering about footprint lock, I seemed to have problems with that. Other than that, it works great. Kudos to the product team and the beta testers. Great job!

@Saridactyl - We haven't forgotten about Android users! We built the app in such a way that we could deploy an iPhone and Android version within a week of each other.We'll have the Android app up soon!

I have not used my Xanga in YEARS because I have had a smartphone to use as Internet and have not needed a computer. So this is kind of exciting 😜 lol

I'm going off topic. All these additions are nice, but the most frustrating aspect of XANGA for years has been the lack of response to consumer/blogger questions. Yesterday photos were not showing up on my blog and other blogs. It would be nice to be able to go to your Facebook page and find an update about the problem and when it might be resolved.

It won't let me login. It says bad username/password combination. I guarantee that this is not the case. Any thoughts?

So far I like it. It seems like maybe footprints aren't connected to the mobile use, though, because a few of my friends' pages I cannot view because they have footprints lock on, but my setting aren't for anonymous browsing. Otherwise, everything works quite fine for me.
It does have the Footprints issue. Also when you post a Photo post it doesn't display on the blog (well at least not for me), I've tried 3x. Weblog and Pulse works just fine. The photo does show up in the Photostrip. Was that how it was suppose to work? I wish the App would allow us to view our own blog page. But thank you so much for the App, I plan on staying with Xanga for my blogging needs. :o)~

it would be great if i can hv the friend list and subscription list accessible using the apps; and i would be glad if i can search my own post by date; hope the xangateam would add these functions, thx!!!

Where do I find the Xanga app for blackberry.
I am unable to view my friend's site because she has Footprint Lock on -- I have footprints enabled but it keeps telling me I need to turn off anonymous browsing.
Been using the apps lately and its been really convenient.. Thanks for the hardwork
.. But i just suddenly realized that there doesnt seem to be anyway for us to tag entries..?? Can this be somehow implamented? Not sure about other users.. But i use my tags somewhat frequently.. Just to keep things organized.. Mmnnyah, just a thought 
! I also wish that we could see footprints in the stats or something... Well, keep up the great work Xanga! Work out the kinks that most users are experiencing right now.. Then get to updating/adding in more features

Bunch of nonsense. I downloaded it, and all I see is a blank white screen. I tried uninstall and install this stupid app again, it's still the same. Xanga have just yet again disappoint me. You made me feel that my $100 spent on lifetime is my life's stupidest $100 ever spent.
I downloaded the app on my iPad and I get a blank white screen. I have the latest iOS and everything. Why does this happen?

I just noticed that when I'm using the app and take a photo using the app, a copy of the photo is not saved onto my Camera Roll. It's not too big of a deal, but it would be nice if it did get saved onto my Camera Roll. Just a heads up!
I was so excited about the iPad app, but I have a problem. I don't have my site set to browse anonymously, so why can't I comment from my iPad to sites that have Footprints Lock? I would like to comment people I'm subbed to from my iPad!
I noticed a bug! When I edit my posts it throws in "(and sign)(number sign)160" sometimes. This page won't let me post the actual symbols so I just wrote them out instead.
The only problem I seem to be running into is viewing blogs that have footprints lock on, but otherwise its working good for me, I just test posted a blog with a picture in it and its showing up on my blog
Does the mobile site sync with the actual non mobile site? It does not seem that what goes from my phone goes to pc...
Ability to upload a profile picture and change some profile information from iphone app would be nice. Also an auto-correct would help also.

Typed up a long message, but realized you didn't accept messages.Anyway, a few issues with the app:1. When a user has "footprints lock," I can't get in. I don't browse anonymously and I'm able to view the site fine on the regular site on both the iPhone and computer. 2. No way to "save" or "post-date" or "share on FB" when posting an entry. Not a big issue, but would be nice.3. When browsing through subs, after I finish reading an entry and I click the "Subs" back arrow on the top left corner, it brings me to the beginning of the subs list. I have to scroll down again to continue where I left off. Kind of annoying, but not really a big issue either.That's it for now. Will report back when I find more issues or have more suggestions. Which leads me to another thing, there was no way to contact anyone with bugs or questions from the app. Maybe have "report bugs/issues" button somewhere?Anyway, app is pretty awesome. Totally a huge step up from the mobile site that didn't work very well.-ray leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
